THE ECLECTIC ARBORETUM

The streetscape project envisions a multi-block district of low-rise warehouses into a dense and walkable art and fashion district.

The project includes a series of streetscape improvements including bulb-outs, new pedestrian crossing, alley activation strategies, custom benches and light poles, public art placement and street tree/planting palettes. The material palette of the project utilized simple, refined and durable contemporary materials of powder coated steel, sustainable harvested woods, sandblasted concrete patterns and drought tolerant plantings. Our project envisions a new canopy of street trees for a lush and shaded pedestrian environment. An eclectic mix of native and non-native trees combine to create a streetscape arboretum that ties the district together.
