VERT APARTMENTS

This urban infill project will add 270+ units of housing and a publicly accessible open space to a rapidly developing transit oriented district.

Drawing upon the site’s natural setting within the alluvial flood plain of the Los Angeles River, the landscape flows from the western street frontage through the building to the podium level amenity deck depositing a variety of landscape features along its path. Landforms, native plants, repurposed logs and boulders, work together to express the history of the place, both natural and cultural.
